Homebrew, on the last stage

Posted by Ub3rG33k on Feb 3, 2009 in Brain Dump

As you may remember on Jan 18, 2009, I posted a blog about starting some homebrew wine. Well, within 2 weeks it had stopped bubbling, I did the the weight test, and it’s registering at 1001, which means we’re good to go.

I popped out at the weekend and got myself 6 x 1Lt bottles, and some corks.

The last 2 packets of the formular have been added to the bottle (approx 24 hours ago), and I’ve just put it in a cold place to settle.

Fingers crossed, in approx 7 days, I shall have 6 Litres of homebrew red wine……I think that’s going to hurt.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

Posted by Ub3rG33k on Jan 18, 2009 in PC Gaming

This weekend’s offer on Steam, is the full game at £7.49 (Half Price), so decided to get a copy. To be honest, I am a big fan of FPS’s (First Person Shooters), however I’m more of a UT (Unreal Tournament) type guy, who love running around with the flack cannon, and rocket launcher and turning my opponents into a mess on the floor.

I was very surprised at this game, it is very tactical, and you have the think instead of go running in with all guns blazing. I’ve only played it for a couple of hours, but thoroughly enjoyed it so far, can’t wait to go running through in co-op mode with any of my mates who has it.

The graphics do look good, the AI is pretty intelligent (apart from the odd occasion where my team mates seem to get stuck behind walls, and objects).

One thing I can’t seem to suss out is….I keep seeing achievements pop up on the screen, but have no idea where to find them, they don’t seem to be on Steam ?

If anybody know, please drop me a reply, Thanks in Advance.

Fictionshed Forum, up and running.

Posted by Ub3rG33k on Jan 18, 2009 in Fictionshed

As you may know, I’m joint owner of the “company” Fictionshed.

Myself and Tony Lunn have a number of projects we are working on together, and a couple of months ago, we decided to create an umbrella company to bring all the projects together.

The final piece in the jigsaw was to merge the forums, as we had each one for project with a handful of members and staff in each.

This weekend, I’ve finally done it, I’ve merged the forums, and things seem to be picking up nicely.

Feel free to pop in and say Hi
